Product Review: SuperPump 3.0

Gaspari’s recently released SuperPump 3.0 has the making of an incredible pre-workout, it ticks all the boxes with regard to its formulation. Starting with the stimulant base caffeine in a dose of 200mg per serving, this should be more than adequate to kick start your workout, this coupled with L-Tyrosine, Choline and Bioperinine and other B vitamins, should optimise cellular functioning and increase energy supply to the muscles. This product also contains Creatine Monohydrate at 2.5g, helping to maintain muscle performance alongside beta-alanine another amino acid that maintains muscle functioning and improves performance. L-Leucine is also present in a moderate amount to help maintain muscle protein synthesis and therefore aid in recovery and muscle growth. My favourite element in this product is the ‘pump’ element, not only does it have nitric oxide (NO) boosters, it also has Agmatine sulphate, an ingredient which reduces enzyme activity used in the body to maintain and lower NO levels, thus increasing the effectiveness of the NO booster. So does it work? Well yes, I really enjoyed this product, tasted great in all the flavours I have sampled and consistently gave me a good pump, even on lower carb/fat days. Most importantly, although tolerance to the stimulants effect has increased, which will be found in all pre-workouts, the other effects keep me focussed and allow me to get through even the toughest sessions with good results. For further information on ingredients found in pre-workouts including stimulants, beta-alanine, creatine, amino acids and NO boosters check out my blog posts at http://www.cardiffsportsnutrition.co.uk/blog/category/supplements/ covering these key ingredients and many more.
