@AskKort reviews the latest version of MyoBlox Skywalk
The reasoning behind this blog is the fact MyoBlox have updated their base formula, now what I mean by a base formula is that this is the one that is solid year round, not a limited edition of which MyoBlox do every couple of months.
There has been a few changes to the base formula, A little redesign and a change upon the flavour too.
So here I'm going to go through the formula and also highlight the changes.
Now... I must stress, whenever a brand 'reformulates' I know there are a big chunk of people (including me) whos the first reaction is... 'ok so is this one worse?', which we kind of are entitled to feel after the likes of Jack3d, Hemorage, Craze etc, version 2,3,4's have always tended to lead us down a bad path.
But this is not the same as those kinds of companies, Ghost, Biohack, MyoBlox, Strom and some few selected others you know that if something new is coming, its still carrying the same underlying efficacious fundamental of the product, but only more improved for a few tweaks to offer a new but still efficacious angle on it.
Let me highlight what's new with MyoBlox Skywalk,
- N-methyl tyramine
- Huperzine A
I shall go into these ingredients when they pop up as I go through the formula now.
This kicks off with Tyrosine at the maximum dose we will really ever see it 3 full grams. Tyrosine is a single amino acid that subsequently synthesizes into L-dopa then into dopamine, then available for norepinephrine then epinephrine. So fantastic for focus, energy, sense of well being, problem-solving and much more.
Alpha GPC 50% 800mg
This is a fantastic dose. We are seeing a lot of benefits from using alpha GPC AT 600mg which is the higher end of the spectrum, here we are getting even more than that. Alpha GPC is a very highly bioavailable form of Choline, our brain loves alpha GPC because it stops our brain breaking down and effectively cannibalising its own neurons for a source of choline, so Alpha GPC increases levels of our neurotransmitter Acetyl Choline, which is essential for memory, making communication between neurons super efficient, this boost in neuron communication leads to overall memory, focus, mental clarity and cognitive processing.
Laser focus matrix of 1050mg
Kicks off with RealCaf which is caffeine derived from green coffee beans, a more natural source of caffeine that many people prefer than synthetic caffeine, now I do think the difference is anecdotal, but instead of getting into the debate over natural vs synthetic (which is a good chat) I would take caffeine at its face value at the dose it is present in, and that's 200mg
We then get one of the newbies in Velvet Bean Extract, that provides 98% L-dopa, as we discussed before, L-dopa is what tyrosine converts into, then we get the triad of catechumens in dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, a more direct way of increasing dopamine and certainly a personal preference.
L-theanine is next, a f**king lovely personal favourite. L-theanine is used in many pre-workouts now to help avoid the crash, one of its many talents is preventing an over an excessive amount of excitatory neurotransmitter Glutamate. It also increases neurotransmitters Serotonin, Gaba, Dopamine which is epic but it does not stop there!
It also increases alpha and theta brain waves
- Alpha brain waves are associated with relaxation providing alert calmness and super flow states of learning and joy
- Theta brain waves are associated with the waves heightened during meditation giving us a more creative flow state which is so cool!
Theanine is the dog's bollocks!
Hordenine, one we have seen many times before in many companies options to be an MOA inhibitor and its stim stimulant effect of itself too,
N-methyl tyramine is a cool one too and a new addition! Potent mg for mg, Tyramine is a beta 2 agonist plus increases cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP). cAMP is used for intracellular communication, and is thought to play a role in the formation of memories and increases high order thinking in the prefrontal cortex
Next up is Bioperine (black pepper extract) which is most well known for its ability to increase absorption via the CYP3A4 enzyme, it is also a very potent MOA inhibitor of itself too! Boosting serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine, decreasing anxiety, improving mood and cognition too.
Lastly, we have Huperzine, this is an Acetyl Cholinesterase inhibitor so this will prevent the breakdown of Acetyl Choline like we spoke about before which I a really good welcomed addition to the Skywalk family
I personally have been using this for a good time now and really really enjoy it! The tunnel vision, the mood, focus, processing function, memory and word recall are all fantastic.
